  With the development of science and technology, we find that the rotary evaporator has become a necessary evaporator in the laboratory.The distillation flask in the rotary evaporator is a pear shaped or round bottom flask with a standard grinding port interface, so that it is connected to the pressure relief pump through a high reflow snake-shaped condensing pipe. The other opening of the reflow condensing tube is connected to the receiving flask with a grinding port to receive the vaporized organic solvent.There is a three-way piston between the condensing tube and the pressure relief pump. When the system is connected with the atmosphere, the distillation flask can be taken off, and the solvent can be transferred. When the system is connected with the pressure relief pump, the system should be in a decompression state.When using, should decompress first, start the motor to turn the distillation flask again, when ending, should stop first, pass the atmosphere again, in case the distillation flask falls off in the rotation.As a heat source of distillation, it is often equipped with a corresponding thermostatic tank.

 The rotary evaporator is mainly used for concentration, crystallization, drying, separation and coal dissolution recovery in pharmaceutical, chemical and bio-pharmaceutical industries.Its principle is: under the vacuum condition, it is heated at a constant temperature, which makes the rotating bottle rotate at a constant speed. The material forms a large area of film on the bottle wall and evaporates efficiently.The dissolved coal steam is cooled by the high efficiency glass condenser and recycled into the collection bottle, which greatly improves the evaporation efficiency.The core technology of rotary evaporator is the air tightness of the system, that is, the system can maintain high vacuum degree under the erosion of various solvents.

 

1. What factors affect the efficiency of rotary evaporator?

For the same specification machine, the main: steam temperature, vacuum and cooling water temperature.Restricted by the heat resistance of some materials, it is impossible to increase the steam temperature indefinitely when working. Therefore, high vacuum degree and low cooling water temperature are the two main factors to improve the efficiency (low temperature pump can be used to reduce the water temperature).
